Ever dreamt of traveling back in time? Let Barbary Coast’s Deadfall take you on a time-travelling journey to mid-1800s San Francisco. The venue is a tribute to a district in San Francisco of the same name. San Francisco’s Barbary Coast was home to a lively array of bars, dance halls, concert saloons and variety shows—during the gold rush of 1849, the area saw a rapid influx of miners alongside sailors around the world who made their way to this little wonderland in hopes of finding fortune. Spanning across three historic shop houses, Singapore’s Barbary Coast is a celebration of Boat Quay neighborhood’s similarly rich history. Here lies the memories of sailors and ships trading across the Pacific, unloading their dizzying array of goods on the banks that is now Singapore River.
The Bar itself is inspired by the style of bars that were found throughout the original Barbary Coast, decorated with a collection of tools and utilities that were once a part of the daily life in the area. The space has been stripped down to show its original form, giving it the authentic and rustic ambiance to honor the building. Expect a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, as well as affordable drinks from as low as $6 here at Deadfall.
